A number of activities have been going on within the ‘’Catch The Drop Campaign.’’ This is not something we do as we approach March/ World Water Day, but it is something ongoing, throughout the year, for us.
-
Plastic bottles have been installed into all the flushings so as to reduce water by that same volume, every time it is flushed.
-
Wardens (children, that is ) keep an open eye to detect any water wastage, such as dripping water-taps.
-
The Water Meter is read every Monday morning and Friday afternoon. The amount used is recorded by members of the Eko-Skola council. Then, we see if and how we can still reduce it.
-
This week, children are creating posters with the theme ‘’The Importance of Saving Water’’ in mind.
-
Board has been set up. Discussion will take place during Morning Assembly (Wednesday21st and Thursday22nd).
-
Year 3 pupils will be learning and reciting Poem, copy of which can be seen on display board.
-
Water droplets (fliers) will be posted into relatives’ / neighbours’ letterboxes.
